KILLED IN ACTION 1st July 1916
Frank was born Sheffield 1891 in the Parish of St Bartholemews, Hillsborough. There are no surviving service papers but from the census we can see that aged 2 months he is living with his parents at the back of 64 Langsett Road, Sheffield. 1901 Census missing. 1911 census he is at 35 Bromley Street, Sheffield and employed as a sign writer.

He would marry Rosetta SCAIFE at St Stephens Church, Sheffield on 22nd December 1912. Rosetta can be found in the census record as living at 33 Marsh Lane, Eckington.
He must have enlisted at Sheffield in 1914 which would make him 23 years of age.
Frank was listed as missing and declared killed in action after the attack on Serre on the 1st day of the battle of the Somme.
