Arthur JEFF was born at Attercliffe, Sheffield in 1889. He can be found in the census records of 1901, living at 7 Stevenson Road Attercliffe and in the 1911 census at 28 Bessemer Place Attercliffe.

His parents are recorded as being Arthur and Annie Eliza JEFF but his mother has remarried by 1911 and he is shown as the step son of Albert WELLER.His medal index card shows an address of 5 Hammerton Street, Attercliffe, Sheffield. Number 28 is furthest right in the top image. Arthur is recorded as having passed away in Sheffield aged 66 in December 1965.
